Raptors Rally Late to Beat Mudcats
The Raptors beat the Mudcats 6-3 Thursday night in a back and forth battle at McDonald. The Raptors got out to a 3-0 lead in the 1st inning on a bases clearing double from JD Souza. The Mudcats battles back and tied the score on hits from Max Wilcken and brothers Jack and Will Usera.
The middle 4 innings proved to be scoreless for both teams thanks to outstanding pitching from Max Wilcken for the Mudcats and Jack Doherty for the Raptors. The game was tied in the last inning until Cooper Statires hit a triple to deep left to clear the loaded bases and score the eventual winning runs. Alex Barrile closed out the 6th for the Raptors.
