The Mudcats unleashed the offense against the Thunder for their second win of the season Monday night at Mullen Field. The Thunder struck early with hits by Colby Spence and Joey Ulbricht, but they weren’t able to get any to cross the plate as Sean Garrity pitched three very strong innings for the Mudcats.

Already up by 6 runs, the Mudcats bats really came alive in the 3rd inning with big hits by William and Jack Usera, Max Wilken, and capped by a Grand Slam by Jack Ronan. They added more in the 4th with a big double by Tommy Vittiglio despite strong pitching by Joey and Nicky Ulbricht, Qole Simpson and Luke Seitz.

Facing a 12-0 lead, the Thunder showed resilience as they battled back in the 5th with a big hit by Dylan Murtie and a 3 run Home Run by Luke Seitz. Jack Ronan was able to contain the late rally in a solid debut on the mound giving the Mudcats the victory.
