Rain on Tuesday washed out one game at Nutile but a second was able to be played under the lights in what we believe was the first ever Majors game on the Skillings turf!

The A’s jumped out to an early lead on the Cardinals thanks to offensive production throughout the lineup. Daniel Driscoll, Justin Muse, William “Buggie” Lyon, Jack Charchaflian, BZ DeChristoforo and the Doherty brothers were just a few of the A’s contributing to the offensive output. On the hill, Muse, Driscoll, Charchaflian and Shane Doherty did the work for the A’s in their first win of the young season. The Cardinals sent five pitchers to the mound – Teddy Angell, Aidan Provo, Max Richardson, Joe Kubicki and Owen Richardson in the loss. With more games coming this week, the Cards staff will be available.

Rain threatens tonight’s As vs. Diamondbacks tilt before 3 games are on the docket both Thursday and Friday nights at Nutile.
