Night one is in the books from Nutile.  It saw both teams who played for the Majors Championship last year losing as the Padres downed the White Sox 11-8 and Red Sox beat the Dbacks 2-0.

Over on Field C, Luke Sardone started for the Padres and pitched three scoreless innings and left with the score 9-0 Padres.  The White Sox would narrow the gap to 11-8 in the 5th inning before the Padres brought in Luke Malloy to close it out.  Carter Meyer ran around the bases and the top of the Pads line-up did the damage.

On Field A, Stephen McCabe pitched a jem for the Red Sox, going all 6 innings and blanking the Dbacks. Jack Allen and Ritchie Masterpol provided all the offense the Red Sox would need.
The Red Sox and Padres will face each other in an intriguing early season match-up on Thursday….
