The Marlins scored runs early and often on Friday, September 18th against the Cardinals. They scored three in the first inning with RBI hits from Luke Molloy and Freddy Meyer, who would both come around to score as well. They added five more in the second with a few walks and RBI singles by Carter Meyer and Luke Sardone.

The Cardinals got one back in the top of the third with Thomas Blake doubling and scoring on a base hit by Adam Kronmeier. The Marlins responded with three runs of their own in the third, with hits from Jeremy Watson and Carter Meyer, and a big double by Luke Molloy. Kai Napadow led off the fourth inning for the Cardinals with a triple to left field and he was brought home on a sacrifice fly by Luc Tarabellsi. The Cardinals got two more in the fifth, with Dom Tarabellsi and Alex Turrene getting on base and scoring on passed balls.

The Marlins closed out the scoring with seven straight hits in the bottom of the fifth, big RBIs coming from Freddy Meyer, Connor Carson, and Leo Lamont, to bring home five runs. Luke Sardone pitched very well for the Marlins allowing only two runs on four hits in four innings.
