SYBS Reaches Out to Help Cuban Baseball Program
Recently I had an opportunity to visit Cuba as part of a group on a music, art and agriculture learning effort. Knowing the Cuban community shared my passion for baseball, I reached out to SYBS to see if they wanted to help. With the help of Rich Michienzi and Chris Centurelli, we put together a team bag with new baseballs, softballs, hats, shirts and scorebooks. We also added quite a few gloves we had accumulated in the lost and found.
When we arrived in Cuba I was able to connect with a local group with help from our tour guide. The coaches and kids were delighted to receive our gift.
I’ve never had a moment that made me more proud to be associated with SYBS. Thank you!
